Turkey Trot

The holiday season is just a few short weeks away and that means the food will be flowing. Between sweet treats and dinner parties it's tough to stay on track. So, to combat the first holiday challenge (the Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, creamed cauliflower, and pumpkin pie that I know I will be eating) I signed up for a Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot (5k run/walk). And even better, the whole family including my grandmother, jumped on board. So, before we eat our BIG meal together we'll burn a few calories together. I know that staying active is the key to getting me through this time of year; if you're in the same boat, head to www.active.com to find a Turkey Trot and/or other great activities to keep you moving this season.
